McDade Park

Great park. Good equipment and padded play area. Fishing pond for kids is a blast!

I love taking my dog to mcdade park to walk her. Me n my boyfriend absolutely enjoy walking the many trails that are there. They take you thru the woods which is so beautiful. There is ton of other things to do also a park for kids, basketball court, and even a picnic area to cook and eat.

Had a wonderful day at the Annual Senior Fun Day today! The staff from Lackawanna County Parks and Recreation should be very proud of the work they do to keep McDade an amazing venue.

My 6yr old son had a blast. The park was clean which much activity, a nice place to spend the day outdoor. Plenty of parking friendly atmosphere.

A really fascinating tour of a real coalmine, taking you deep into the earth and enveloping you into the experience of the miners of years past. The gift shop is also nicely priced.

Meanwhile, it seems that for locals there are myriad opportunities for recreation, while natural beauty abounds as well. Highly recommend.
