We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. We decided to do the house tour and we were not disappointed. Our guide was very informative. We learned so much about the Amish culture. We also visited the farm and enjoyed seeing all the animals. My favorite was holding the baby goats! They also have a great gift shop.Highly recommend this place.
What a wonderful experience. We took the bus tour through the Amish farm country and ate dinner in an Amish family's home. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and very willing to fill us in on so many details of Amish life. Truly special evening.
Very informative! I had a lot of questions and they were patient. The farm is incredible! Expected to just do the house tour and walk around for a few minutes. We ended up spending most of the afternoon there.
This place is the original Amish educational museum in Lancaster. It's been around since the late 1950's. The guides really know what they are talking about. A lot of them are retired teachers. The farm is beautiful and has lots of animals to see and pet. On Saturdays there is an Amish family that has a BBQ stand and the food is awesome. They also have soft ice cream. Baby goats were just born this week and they are so cute! You gotta see this place!
Twenty or so years ago, my mother and I visited the Amish Farm and House in Lancaster, PA. My mother was from Japan and she always was fascinated with American culture that appeared to have a Zen-like character. I happened to be in Lancaster today and found myself on the front porch of this local attraction. I recalled many of the comments and questions made and asked by my mom as we walked the grounds years ago. My mother died three weeks ago. It was nice to be reminded of one of the many good times we shared.
