Speedwell Forge County Park

Address: 480 Speedwell Forge Rd, Lititz, PA 17543, USA

Park

“Had a great day on the trail with the family! Warning-the short trail close to the creek had mud! For the most part there were drier ways to get around it. It did make for some good adventures too.”

Wolf Sanctuary of PA

Address: 465 Speedwell Forge Rd, Lititz, PA 17543, USA

Park

“I've visited this sanctuary twice now; once for an actual guided tour in the spring, and another for a full moon event (night self-guided tour with a bonfire, live music, and coffee). Both visits were nothing short of entertaining, informative, and fun, coupled with a low entry fee that goes to helping the wolves. As of posting this, they currently have 54 on their property, most of them beginning to show signs of their age, but they are still spunky and engaging. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out. They also have a bed and breakfast on site.”

Speedwell Forge Bed and Breakfast

Address: 465 Speedwell Forge Rd, Lititz, PA 17543, USA

Lodging Park

“Very fun tour and walk around the complex. Learned a lot of facts. Only negatives were the location and it was a pretty lengthy tour.”

Manheim Township Community Park

Address: 209 Petersburg Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, USA

Park

“I was here for a company picnic. It's clean and has a good amount of parking. It has a nice sized pavilion with 3 rows of picnic tables, an outdoor grill, and a building with a fridge and tables to set up a buffet. There are electrical outlets - someone was playing Pandora through a powered speaker. There is a volleyball court, a kids play area, tree-lined walkways, lots of shade, and open areas to set up games like corn hole.”

Overlook Park

Address: 2040 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, USA

Park

“Went to the skatepark and did the disc golf course, both were pretty nice, and of course free which makes me even better. There’s some paved trails, some non paved trails, a playground or two, ball fields, tennis courts, all on outskirts of gold course. Overall a nice area with a lot of old wealthy white folk.”

Overlook Dog Park

Address: 2215 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, USA

Park

“Be careful: car break ins on the parking lot at the dog park: today Saturday 10/19/19 at 12 noon! They shattered my window and took my wallet hiding under my coats in front seat- I called police, they came & report was filed. We need cameras”

Buchanan Dog Park

Address: 901 Buchanan Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603, USA

Park

“This is a great place to bring your furry friend. We bring our puppy here regularly, and she loves it. There are two spaces: little and big dog. Each side has Adirondack chairs, shades, water fountains for both pets and owners, poop bags, water features, and other fun things for your pet to run around on. Because this is a popular location, it's important for owners to take into account the friendliness of the pup. For the most part, all the dogs here are friendly, but some territorial dogs are running about. It's important for you to be vigilant of your pet, but let them have fun. Everyone who brings their pet wants them to have a good time, but also wants them to be safe. We've found that other owners don't mind if you have to reprimand or help out a pup that isn't yours.”

Buchanan Park

Address: 901 Buchanan Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603, USA

Park

“Nice large park, I love to go and sit at the top of the hill under these two huge old trees, overlooking the entire park in every direction. There's also a dog park where I like to go and pretend I'm a responsible dog owner and play with other people's dogs and judge them solely based on their dogs behavior.”

“Love the college always something to do here.”

Freedom Memorial Park

Address: 100 Municipal Dr, Millersville, PA 17551, USA

“Clean and peaceful. I went there for a memorial service for a family member. I was never there before that but it the perfect setting for it. We have a HUGE family and urged people to bring chairs and sitting equipment. But we honestly had plenty of room with the pavilion benches. I'd rent out again if I needed it :)”

Country Acres Campground

Address: 20 Leven Rd, Gordonville, PA 17529, USA

Campground Rv park Lodging Park

“Check in was easy. Our tent campsite was rather small for our 10x17 tent but it did the trick. It was nestled up against a cornfield. The whole area is close to everything Amish. People lament the fact that the stay is a maximum of 15 days. I was there for three nights. The price was great and they gave a lot of coupons for local businesses. The bathrooms were modern and immaculate. The pool is great. The free Amish bus tour was also very good. Highly recommend.”

“Nice sites, great pool and lots of activities for children. The storage for campers in the entrance is a real eye sore. There could be several more sites if the run down campers were moved somewhere else or disposed of. This campground is very well maintained and the staff do a great job keeping up with the grounds. One of the nicest TT campgrounds we’ve been to.”

“It's definitely a trail, and it's in nature so... Actually while it's short, this trail is a nice getaway from neighborhood sidewalks. Quiet and serene, there's some lovely native plants, gold finches and areas of wetland. The trail is paved though some spots do puddle depending on recent rainfall. No gift shops.”
