Beautiful place to visit
Probably my favorite shelter I stayed at this trip. Good water too
Several campsites. Spring is pretty close and had water in July. Shelter and pricy are extremely well maintained.
Stayed at this shelter in ~97 or so when it was being built. Pooped in the food to share box. Also found a pipe and some weed left behind by one of the Allentown Hiking Club members who maintain/were building the new shelter. We smoked their weed and stole the pipe. Guy came the next morning to work on the shelter and you could tell he was pissed.
Can't wait to poop in the Food to Share box again!
A very good condition AT Shelter. Would probably sleep 6 very comfortable, 12 if you squeeze. Pretty cool that there is an outhouse was definitely surprised about that. There is a very nice fresh water spring near by. although it would have been nice if they built the shelter a little closer to it as it is probably a 1/4mile hike over some rocky terrain to get there. Over all it is a very pleasant place to visit.
