“Aptly named trail follows Hassen Creek. Several steep inclines each way. Terminates at a picturesque little dam on one side and private property on the other. Good for a 30 minute or so outing. Lots of nature sounds to be heard. Spotted a few deer too between the trail and the road that also parallels the creek. Bring the bug spray!!”

“Nice park once you get away from the noisy road. I like the incense the Disc Golfers Burn while they are playing. The smoke makes my dog really relaxed and friendly. Be careful at the dog park. There are often dogs in there. And there are tons of holes under the fences.”

“Great place for a short hike or stroll in nature. Various degrees of trails, from the paved 'park road' to steep and sometimes rocky single file trails. The longest loop is 8 miles, but a variety of other trails and connectors allow you to hike for just a couple of miles. So close to 309 and LCCC and yet it feels very remote, at least in the winter when it's not busy. Not sure how busy the trails get in the spring and summer though.”

“Smooth paved paths with some uphill and a nice down hill. It's not strenuous at all it's just right. Nice shaded area then out into the sun. It's a fun park that you can spend time out on your bike rollerblades or running”

“Good trailhead. From here you can walk the trail in either direction or get on the slate heritage trail as well . there is also several nearby stores n restaurants to grab a bite. The also have hot dog stand here n restrooms. I hiked here for years with my partner Sheena( a long hair German Sheppard). She recently passed away but we loved it here and I continue to walk n jog here. Check it out well worth it.”

“Very nice park, it has a nice playground with a small rock climbing wall, plenty of slides a few swings etc. Park also has 2 hard court volleyball courts, a couple baseball fields, soccer fields, basketball court, and a nice pavilion. Very family friendly place in a nice area.”

“Great place to get info on local wild life , nice little pond, good place to start hiking from. You can take the line trail DnL trail or hike up to the woodpecker trail. My 4 legged companion" Sheena" and I hiked from here for many years. Although she is gone now she will never be forgotten. I will continue to visit here in her honor. I recommend you visit here. They do offer educational classes here as well. Something for everyone.”

It's a little noisy from traffic thru the gap, but we'll worth the trip. Bring the family and pets, fun for all. I continue to hike here in honor of Sheena.”
