“I suspected I had a problem with my heat pump when I saw the bottom portion of the outside unit coated with ice. I called shortly after noon and explained the unit was heating the house fine and told about the ice buildup. Even though it was not an emergency they had two technicians at my house 45 minutes later!”

“Dave and his team were courteous and professional at all times. They called when they said they would call.. and they showed up when they said they would show up! That is hard to find these days. The unit they installed is incredible and when they left , they left no debris behind. They make sure we had heat before another cold snap arrived. Thank you! the Appel"s”

“I called Hydrodynamics to service my 21 year old forced air oil furnace. David the owner who is also one of the tech's which I find very impressive came out to do the service. During the service & cleaning he noticed the smoke pipe that leads to the chimney was brittle & developing pinholes, which would be a carbon monoxide problem waiting to happen. He then replaced the old smoke pipe with a new one and did a thorough job of cleaning, servicing and evaluating my furnace. David pointed out to me that the refracturing material on the inside walls of the combustion chamber heat exchanger was starting to fall off in a couple of spots, he then showed me by shining a light inside the chamber. He then did a couple of tests to make sure the heat exchanger was not cracked. David determined it's not cracked. What David has planned is during my next service and clean in September he will replace the combustion chamber. I appreciate David's honesty not condemning my furnace but is willing to extend the life of it, getting as much as I can from it rather than telling me that I need a new furnace because that is exactly what happened when I called another Plumbing & Heating Co. PRIOR to calling Hydrodynamics . S.J. Kowalski Plumbing & Heating came out to service & clean my furnace & I had a bad vibe from the start. Pulled off the smoke pipe, cleaned it out & put it back and never mentioned anything about the pinholes and how brittle it was. Keep in mind Hydrodynamics shined a light in that smoke pipe to see all these little pinholes and you could see that the pipe was in pretty bad shape but Kowalski did not say a word about it. Kowalski continues with the service and I walk away. 3 minutes later he approaches me saying he can't continue the service because there is a crack in my heat exchanger and I have a carbon monoxide problem. I asked him if he had a test meter to check the carbon monoxide and he said no. Kowalski said I need a new furnace. I asked him if they could replace the heat exchanger or do whatever was necessary to correct the supposed problem and he said no the only alternative is a new furnace. Kowalski then says he can't continue the service because of the condition of my furnace. That is when I called Hydrodynamics and was fortunate enough to have David the owner come out, and I already told you what David did and how honest he is. Kowalski was trying for a grand slam on me. I believe they have the tech's trained to condemn an older furnace regardless. Kowalski told me my furnace is dangerous and I need a new ASAP because of carbon monoxide poisoning possibilities. Nice scare tactic but my Kidde carbon monoxide detectors are not sensing any carbon monoxide in the air at all. So, Kowalski packs up his things and said for me to set an appointment with one of their salesmen to come out assess my furnace layout and ductwork etc. to give me a price for a new furnace. I made an appointment with one of the salespeople. I'm playing along with it just to see the price. I just know it will be some astronomical ridiculous amount. Now, who would you choose. Someone who was totally honest with you and successfully serviced your furnace. Evaluated any possible problems. Willing to repair and get as much life out of your existing furnace as possible - or - Someone who didn't warn you about the bad smoke pipe that was brittle and had pinholes, and didn't replace it for you, leaving you in possible danger. Refused to service your furnace saying you need a new furnace immediately. Refuses to do repair on your existing furnace and tells you it is a new furnace or nothing. It says volumes about these 2 different companies. David & Hydrodynamics has high morals, ethics, honesty & integrity. Guess who I am using if I ever need a new furnace. Hydrodynamics most definitely. Meanwhile I am confident they will keep my existing furnace running for as long as possible. I Thank You David!!”
