Always a great time. Quiet and Clean. Priced well. Wood at the park for sale is extremely overpriced and we'll rather small. Bringing your own is always a good idea. I enjoy camping and day trips at this state park and go often
Went for a nice walk with our dog, however, couldn't go down to the lake because of all the ice on the roadway beyond the WVRC rd.
Something for everyone here. Great bike trails. Good location for foraging. Geocache, disc golf, drone and airplane club, fishing, primitive camping with permit, front and back entrance, wildlife in park, just great all around.
Depends on the kind of camping you want. It's great for families and people that don't want to go very primitive. It has a pad that has rubber pellets for a tent. It has a concrete pad with a picnic table. The concrete pad is a perfect size if you bring a canopy. It also has potter potties near by. The lake is also nice to fish
A very quiet and out of the way location, this somewhat abandoned park is a great place for those who want a more private state park experience. It's not a large park but still has enough trails and spots to enjoy without running into too many other people. I love to bring my dog here and allow him to explore freely and not have to worry about disrupting others.
The lake, while small, is absolutely lovely to enjoy in all seasons. It's not as well maintained as other parks around but is still cared for by the few patrons who visit. If you're visiting after a good rain, wear the right shoes as everything gets super muddy.
