This place isn't big but the museum was still enjoyable for the kids and was well staffed and also would recommed a trip there for the family.
This is a well designed museum. This is also a SMALL museum. For what they have, many taxidermy displays of game animals, everything is nicely done but not extravagant. The variety was very nice, and having everything so close as to see their actual size was a treat. There was a number of "touch me" stations. I never knew an ermine was so soft!
The planetarium was included with the price. It was small and also nice. We saw two shows. The first was a few minutes long was a tour of our system set to music, the second was a video from the American Museum of Natural History and narrated by Tom Hanks.
There was supposed to be free wifi there. There were multiple signs with different ways to access the wifi and no combination of user ID's (upper case, lower case) spaces, worked, and the woman at the desk said it didn't work because of my phone.
Even with an inquisitive eight year old, we were out of there in less than an hour.
Small but great museum and planetarium. Both adult and children enjoyed getting so close to the animals on displayed. I personally enjoyed it more than the animal displays in New York City museums.
Nice planetarium shows every hour. Cute small nature museume & great prices. The staff was very friendly & informative.
