“The Church, run by Pastor Hunter is a hidden gem. Hunter, who is one of the better preachers I have ever seen anywhere, telling it like it is without sugar coating and setting you back on track again or reinforcing your resolve if you believe in our Lord. Always feel as if the sermon was aimed directly towards me. I do not go as much as I should. If you like to hear a sermon or a story you can relate to of how God works in our lives then this is for you. The bibles are open and referenced, not just a man's interperetation from memory. This small but genuine church in East Stroudsburg is one of those little country churches on the hill. If you are put off by the mega church and want true bible based Christianity then come on in. Great for families. You can go to a short Sunday school and then service or just show up early for service at about 10:45am. At about 9am-ish The kids go separate into Sunday school (they can stay with mom and dad if they want) taught by a young woman the kids will surely love. Then , adults have some Bible study and chat before service. A little surprise when it comes time to pray, there are many voices all praying on their own, not always lead by the Pastor. Then, there are several shorter prayers lead by the Pastor. No pressure to donate but you have option to make an offering. The folks at Mt. Zion Church will just be happy to see you and glad you are there. There is an evening service as well and also services during the week. Come and see for yourself, make some new friends!”
