“So far so good. I had a pretty bad bunionectomy and reset of bones done On October 21st. I was a nervous wreck. Came home with a cast on and stayed off my feet for 5 days and only got up to use the restroom. Not going to lie, there was a good amount of pain. After having the cast redone due to a bit of discomfort with swelling I went back to work at a desk job on October 26th and kept my foot elevated and took ibprophen. Today is October 31st, I am walking in a surgical boot without crutches or my cane. I am still taking the ibprophen and keeping the foot elevated. There is discomfort but it is tolerable. The first few steps are the hardest and then my foot mellows out. I will follow up in a month.”

“I happened upon the Carmel on Sunday and enjoyed lovely music and welcoming members. The Holiday Brunch was so well done all be volunteers including David Rice. I never saw so much food (some healthy , some not). This coupled with the professional carolers and even an ice sculpture far exceeded my expectations. Keep up the good job!”

“Some of the nicest folks I have come across in a while. They are all gear heads. I had my engine honed up and hot tanked. I brought my new Pistons in and Joe showed me exactly what he was doing when he put them on my old connecting rods. He was SUPER nice - not surprisingly he used to teach engine building. He also showed me a whole bunch of other stuff about putting the engine together. I wish I had hours to just hang around and soak up the information. I can't say enough good stuff about this place! It is cash only.”

Update: no more mice!! ???? Aug 28: I had to have Shawn come back to take care of a nasty yellow jacket nest outside my front door and I'm allergic! Within a day, the bees were gone.
