The Manor of Hope is making a huge difference in our son’s life. We were desperate and needed help for our son, who is on the autistic spectrum. Steve took our son under his wing, and now he is learning how to live independently, slowly but surely. We did not think an independent life would be possible for him. Steve and our son’s mentor, along with the other staff are teaching him skills that will last a lifetime. He recently was hired for a part-time job and is enrolled in a college course. The professionals that Steve have connected our son with, such as his psychiatrist and therapist, are excellent.
The Manor of Hope has so many opportunities. Our son is learning how to cook through a weekly culinary class. He is taking care of a garden, and has a personal trainer and is working out on a regular basis He is always busy which is great for him. He also has structure. They take him on day trips and excursions. Our son is enjoying life and is happy.
We are so thankful we have found Steve and the Manor of Hope. We were at the end of a very dark path and didn’t know where to turn. Our son’s life is now full, and he is growing and maturing every day. He is respectful towards us and is learning boundaries. All things we couldn’t have achieved when he was home. He needs the Manor of Hope and he is also grateful for his time there.

The Manor of Hope is not a typical 30 day rehab where recidivism is practically guaranteed. Instead Steve and his staff take a long-term approach to complete behavior modification so when residents depart they are fully prepared to integrate successfully back into society with all the necessary tools and support to maintain sobriety. The ratio of staff to residents is very high allowing for individual attention.

Programs include career training and counselling, personal financial management training, and courses in computer training. There is an onsite gym and room for families to visit. In short, this is all about 24/7 support.

Having witnessed the results for a close relative, I can tell you that if you’ve become frustrated with revolving door facilities, I encourage you to contact Steve and find out for yourself that hope truly exists.

For any person that is struggling with the battle of addiction whether it be drugs or alcohol, you owe it to yourself to evaluate the Manor of Hope. I'm the family member of a Manor of Hope patient and I can't say enough good things about this organization.

The sober living house "business-model" became a cottage industry in the early 2000s with homes popping up all over the country to cash-in on an addicted America. My personal experience has shown me that many of these homes were established to benefit the owner/investor of the home, not the patients that inhabited it.

The Manor of Hope was different. Started by a loving father who watched his son struggle, Steve Killelea started the Manor of Hope to help young men stuck in the cycle of addiction. The year-long program helps heal the body, mind and spirit. In addition, The Manor of Hope is staffed by people that genuinely care about the patients that come through the door. You feel empathy the minute you step through the door and meet with the staff.
In addition, after the year program is complete, there is an alumni house that patrons can move to,  to ensure their reentry into society is smooth and successful.

To any family members out there that have lost hope for their loved one, pick up the phone and call the Manor of Hope. You will be so glad that you did.

Manor of Hope changed our son's life. He had been to many programs before, but this is the place where our son truly started to thrive. What's different about MoH? First, it's a true therapeutic community. Steve and the rest of the remarkable staff got to know our son as an individual. They were able to tell us things about our son (including his strengths and specific challenges) that no other program had figured out. Second, it's long-term - our son graduated from the program and is currently in the graduate housing, still eating meals, working out, going to campfire/Dharma meetings, and participating in activities with fellow community members a year and a half later. Finally, it's individualized. Whenever we have a question, Steve is on the phone or meeting in person with us, helping us figure out how best to guide our son as he figures out next steps.

The Manor of Hope is a life saving recovery residence for young men experiencing mental illness and drug/alcohol addiction.
The staff truly cares and treats the residents like family.
I highly recommend this program. I will be forever grateful for all they did to not only save my son's life but also to help him find meaningful employment and start him on a path to a better life.
