“It's a nice convenience to have it close and it's always occupied by someone young or old but the only problem is it needs a thorough cleaning.”

“I absolutely love Malcolm X park, when I was a kid my mom and me used to live there. The area is just so amazing considering how close it is to University City, I remember every summer Malcolm X's daughter would come and talk about her father's legacy she was such a beautiful woman. To me Malcolm X will always be one of my favorite parks, sometimes I just go back on my past and think about how much I miss that area.”

“Small but beautiful self-guided Japanese house. However they do have guides on the premises that make it an even better experience! I liked Candice especially. She was very thorough and seemed to have a personal interest in the culture itself, which showed while explaining areas of the house. I would definitely visit again. Pics attached are of the bath, toilet area, tearoom and the grounds.”

“Really nice, enjoyable park to stroll through. Parking can be a pain, but has something for everyone from leisurely strolls to a little bit of hiking (not much) and a playground. Looks like there are snack places but they weren't open when I went.”

“Very nice old weathered stone Gazebo in the path of Cherry Blossoms. The gazebo has been around since the Centennial Worlds Fair May 10, 1876 it is still in standing condition. There are some letters you can see but are hard to make out. It’s still a beautiful piece to check out. Everyday that passes by this Gazebo is eroding away until one day it will not exist. So go see it!!”

“The park itself is great. They've actually been extending and modernizing it. The new playground is not finished yet but already beautiful. Now the rec is a different story I've know this rec since I was small I've gone to summer camp here and it hasn't changed. The staff knows nothing and is nonchalant about getting you info or really helping.. the boxing coach is arrogant, mean, too fat, and too lazy to see himself in the mirror. Voting went well here. I lived across the street for a while so yes it's true sometimes the bums and crackheads take over at times”

“Nice little park in a convenient location. There is not a lot here for kids to play on (though there is enough) so I would suggest the park around the corner on Conshohocken that has more stuff but this location is great for just hanging out or for playing with your dog (note that it isn't a dog park though).”

“My understanding of becoming a member and owning (not permanent) a plot of land is to be placed on a waiting list, and you must reside in a surrounding neighborhood. There are many community gardens in and around Philadelphia, but I think the Bartram Community Garden is the best location among many near by Community Gardens.”

“A serene place. Beautifully restored buildings, lovely shop (with coffee yey!) and gorgeous views of Philly and it's industrial heritage. Can't wait for the trail to be connected to the city.”

“Great visit! Had never been but was able to wall around some today and enjoy the greenery as well as the plant sale. Prices ranged from $5 and up for a big variety. Also were encouraging people to become members for a free lemon thyme plant. Super charming and glad I'm a member now! Will be back for more!”
