This is 2.5 hours away from us, but it has become one of our favorite hiking locations. It's an easy hike throughout, but what makes it so nice for us is that it is never crowded. We can spend an entire morning there without seeing other people.
We loved our time camping here. Sites were spacious and not too close together. There are a few lakes, so a lot of availability to swim, and other water activities. Facilities were spacious and well kept. It was nice to drive around the roads of the park and see the beauty of the area. You hold definitely go check it out. . .
Great place to spend time and relax. Cheap sites for camping with lots to do like fishing, hiking, swimming in the summer. Also saw skiing and snowmobile trails in the winter. Lots of wild life to observe which was cool.
Always a nice place to go to. Last time the family went an older lady laid down very close to where my kids were playing catch with a football and she started yelling at my kids for playing near her. I guess once in awhile you will get that anywhere you go. The water is also good to play in.
Very beautiful park with well-kept facilities. Basically this park has everything you could want a huge Lake Campground cabins Cottages paddle boards kayaks playground Beach swimming area etc etc. All of the Rangers and staff that we met were very nice and friendly. The weekend we were there the crowd was extremely polite respectful of the quiet hours and low key. The tent sites are not extremely rustic and secluded which is kind of a bummer for us but they are definitely worth staying at. They're also a little Rocky and lumpy but not too bad.
