The staff was very friendly.
Everything is exceptionally priced! Only $30-some a night for a couple, on off-season, on a beautiful lake. They have firewood extremely reasonably priced, delivered right to your site, and the bundle is a very good size for only $6!
They don't allow dogs, so it's a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. The campsites have squared-off spaces perfect for pitching a tent on a level, non-root surface!
Did not find any easy access to walking trails, directly from the camp grounds. However there are sure to be many nearby. Several marinas, a dollar general, and pizza shop all within a 5 -10 minute drive. The camp grounds also feature easy-access docks.
The only recommendation I have is, don't go to Hawley. It's a very creepy little town on the far side of the lake.
But listen, if you're looking for a quiet, inexpensive, nice stay, I highly recommend Ironwood Point! My wife and I look forward to returning!
(September 17, 2018, 1:05 pm)Beautiful spacious campsites and views. The owners are so helpful. We had a few special requests and they were more than accommodating with us. We will definitely be coming back here for another stay next summer!
(June 4, 2018, 8:11 am)We stopped here on our way to Pocono Raceway coming from NH. This place is wonderful. The owners were extreamly helpful with all our needs. Would love to stay here if in the area again!!!!!10 stars in my book
