We went to this place on our way back to our hometown Pittsburgh from Tripple B farm. It was a late Sunday afternoon lunch around 3 pm. The place was full and we had decided to sit outside.
It took some time to get the food, but we liked the food and the atmosphere very well. And prices are very reasonable too.
We stumbled across this gem a few weeks ago and can't wait to go back! The menu is huge and we had a hard time deciding what to order. Our server was extremely patient, friendly, and attentive. My only suggestion is to skip the French Onion Soup. It might have been just the one I got, but there was hardly any liquid. Everything else was delicious! I got a wedge salad and my husband got wings - keep in mind that they are whole wings.
Family tavern with awesome food and great service through the dinner-supper hours. Great for take out lunch during the work week. Attracts a community base younger crowd through the late night an a older crowd in the afternoon's. Great mix of people at anytime for a comfortable atmosphere and really awesome food and drinks. If your a coca-cola fan plan to change up your drink choices. Fantastically old unique inn.
Quality food is served by a welcoming staff. The menu is extensive. The atmosphere is relaxed, & family friendly.
Their food was excellent and the service was very good, no complaints there. There is a small but decent selection of craft beer. The day we were there it was dinnertime. The dining room was full so we sat on their patio. It was nice until a rowdy group of college students showed up. They were loud and smoked a lot; it really made our experience less pleasant. The reason we didn't rate this place 5★ is that the patrons stared and some glared at my husband. Staff were nothing but nice and professional but my husband felt really uncomfortable. My mom said when she was there with a friend who is a person of color they didn't have any problems, but she added that they always went at lunchtime.
