(January 30, 2022, 10:33 am)Great airport. Nailed two x-wind landings during my checkride on November 3, 2001 here. Two windsocks were flying perpendicular to each other (likely, hills on both ends of the runway and general gusty conditions had something to do with it); crabbed and sideslipped, just like instructed. A walk in the park.
Note to myself: come back and kiss that friendly runway. Better late than never.

(June 28, 2020, 2:50 pm)The American Legion Honor Guard held a special Service for a WWII Veteran who served in the Army Air Corps!!!. Definitely not the Air Force. It was a very memorable event set to honor and remember a friend.
