“I grew up overlooking this Farm back when the cows were still there. I am so happy to volunteer and be a part of the wonderful things that that the Farm association prioritizes. There are 3 main goals. The preservation of the Farm land and the Farm buildings ( house and barn), the education of people of all ages, and to support the Rhode Island Food bank and local soup kitchens and Food Pantries with fresh vegetables. There are amazing things happening at Franklin Farm and I encourage people to learn more and become a part of it.”

“Several months ago, I discovered bed bugs at my parents house. Luckily, my parents were already staying with me but we had stayed at their house one night to start prepping to put their house on the market. I only saw a couple when my mother brought it to my attention; I brought chemicals from Lowes, sprayed their entire bed, and let off 3 sets of bombs in the house over the course of a month. Fast forward about 2 months from when we first discovered them, I spent the night, and when I was making the bed the next morning, I found a bed bug! I then discovered 2 days later I had several bites all over my body! Fast forward a month after my parents house has been professionally treated, and the house was totally cleaned out, I had some items that I left in the trunk of my car (I just left them in there for no reason) that I finally brought in my house and put the items on my parents bed. 2 days later, my mom tells me that she had been waking up scratching for the last 2 nights. I immediately checked her for bites, but didn't see anything, then I go to her room to inspect her bed, long and behold, I see a bed bug! I immediately got stressed out because my mom has a lung disease, and knew that chemicals were not going to be an option. I started googling exterminators specializing in bed bugs, and found K&A. Thomas came over the same day, and treated my house and car the next day. I was so stressed out because I was traumatized by the experience at my parents, but Thomas explained his treatment process and answered all the questions I had.”
