I was always skeptical of the physical therapy methodology on rehabbing muscular injuries, due to the fact it was always the same protocol usually: rest, ice, and strengthen surrounding muscles which 95% of the time did not work for me. I sought Dynamic Performance as my last resort after trying everything from chiropractic, massage, and dry needling. I should have seen him from the start! After hurting my pec, Peter was able to evaluate me and get me back to powerlifting in about a month but I was able to learn so much at the same time about breathing and compensation of the body (which probably attributed to me getting hurt). His amiable demeanor made communication about my concerns feel important. Peter quickly analyzed and personalized my treatment to fit my needs, and I firmly believe my recovery back to powerlifting, has been quicker due to his work.
I really enjoyed working with Peter to fix my alignment and strength problems that were causing patellar tendonitis in one of my knees. Running and lifting are much more enjoyable now!
Unlike other PTs I've gone to, he showed an understanding of body and sports mechanics, asked good questions to diagnose me, and didn't just hand me the same overly-photocopied standard set of exercises every other PT has given me.
Peter described his diagnosis and treatment plan in a way that made sense and was targeted to what I needed. Within a couple weeks I could tell a difference and once I was done with our sessions he gave me a plan for continuing to maintain and improve.
I'd highly recommend the free consultation to see if it is a good fit for you.
After nearly every round of golf, I would struggle with a sore back that would limit my ability to get back out to play again the next day or so. It got to the point where I was spending more time before the round trying to stretch and prepare to play and avoid soreness than actually playing. Overall, golf was becoming less enjoyable until I met the guys at Dynamic Performance. They gave me the right strategies to play pain free, and allowed me to spend my time before the round on the range and practice green as opposed to stretching. I was able to play 18 holes and wake up the next morning without back stiffness after only a couple of visits, and I can't recommend this company enough for any injury you may be struggling with for long periods of time.
