I have been working with Simone for 5 years, having previously worked with two other Rolfers. Simone is a thoughtful listener, a skilled visual and tactile assessor, and a talented Rolfing practitioner. She employs a great combination of intense and gentle approaches that make you feel like you are making physical and mental progress. She helps me realize hardcoded movements and postures that I have conditioned my body to accept and shares corrective movements and stretches to rewire my mind and body--increasing my awareness in thought and movement. If you are new to Rolfing, or an experience advocate, I enthusiastically recommend a visit and conversation with Simone.
Simone was not only really good at what she does but she is extremely professional and knowledgeable. It’s not a one time fix. It takes time with this method but the end result is worth it. I was told it was extremely painful but that was not the case. I would highly recommend her and I will continue to go for maintenance.
I went to Rolfing Providence after struggling with lower back pain for quite some time. I will first say that Simone is a very warm and compassionate person. She will immediately make you feel comfortable and cared about. You will feel from your first meeting that her goal is to truly help you. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the body, including both muscular and skeletal systems. With that knowledge, she is able to help you physically and mentally overcome whatever is ailing you. In addition to the work we did in our appointments, she also provided me with many helpful suggestions to practice once I left. Rolfing is a unique practice that I was unfamiliar with until starting with Simone. The physical work that she did on me has resulted in a significant positive impact on my body. I am now headed in the right direction physically. I am definitely glad that I went to see her.
I highly recommend making the commitment to yourself to work with Simone. I gained more insight into how to move and hold my body in 12 sessions than I did in my 7 year career as a yoga instructor. In addition to being enlightening and gaining a broader perspective, I now feel like I am more balanced in my body and more attuned to notice when I am not. I think everyone could benefit from Providence Rolfing.
Simone is a super-talented and compassionate Certified Advanced Rolfer. In my Rolfing ten-series (about two years ago), she helped me overcome lifelong foot pain, and fixed many other posture issues. Several friends have gone to see her, and my mom decided to do the Rolfing ten-series with Simone, too, and found it helpful for her posture and neck/back pain. Try out a session if you’re curious about dance, movement, and feeling more comfortable in your body.
A Rolfer since 1998, Simone Lukas-Jogl provides Rolfing Structural Integration, movement education, visceral manipulation and alternative physical therapy for chronic pain relief to people in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts.
