“My wife and I met Krissy shortly after we got engaged, and came to her with grand ambitions to blow all of our guests’ minds on our wedding day 18 months later with a personal, creative, and flawlessly executed first dance. We were both novices (me especially starting from zero), but told her were interested in contemporary dance techniques, lifts, dips—the works, set to our chosen song. We met with her for private couple’s lessons basically weekly, and 2-3 times weekly towards the end for the entire length of our engagement, and our crazy working schedules were amazingly accommodated. No matter how busy our week was, we always made it because our dance lesson was such a perfect way to wind down, get the blood flowing, and have fun doing something together. Throughout, Krissy was a brilliant and gifted dancer, a masterful, patient, and playful teacher, an inspirational coach, a creative and genius choreographer, and a hilarious and uplifting companion. Over our 18 months of lessons, we both gained a strong foundation of technique as well as a meticulously choreographed custom dance that we felt confident performing for our wedding guests. She helped us get to know our style and made us feel comfortable to try new things. We also gained a valuable friendship! We are so endlessly grateful for the tireless work Krissy put in to take us from beginners with borderline unrealistic ambitions, to full-fledged dancers making everyone’s jaw drop on our wedding day. The dance was truly one of our favorite moments of the whole day.”
