“Want to be treated like you are the center of the universe? Come donate blood here. The receptionist will remember your name and face. The people who draw your blood or platelets (phlebotomists? nurses?) are experts who will treat you like royalty and answer any questions you have. They know you have come to save lives with your donation and they treat you accordingly. NO BIKE RACK and bringing the bike indoors causes problems. Sigh. Easily accessible from RIPTA, and a mere 9.7 miles from MacColl Field YMCA.”

“If you are looking for a friendly home, with strong, Conservative Baptist doctrine, many activities for all ages, and friends for life, then look no further! This church has a powerful ministry to missions, excellent Sunday school and Bible Studies, and many chances to get together to eat, laugh, and fellowship with others. Pastor Larry Smith is gregarious, involved with his congregation, and always welcoming. The choir is open for those with talent (there are some amazing cantatas that occur for Christmas and Easter). There is a 125 year old organ and a not-so-old piano that are used during worship. The church has celebrated its 125 years on the corner of Weeden St and Lonsdale Avenue. Parking is always available across the street, and some parking for handicapped behind the church as well.”

“J.J. Duffy Funeral Home did an incredible job during a difficult time. They are extremely compassionate and understanding when you are grieving. They are courteous and highly professional in helping with funeral, wake, mass and burial arrangements We were able to view online what may be offered in private and discuss among ourselves prior to making the final arrangements in person. To me a big plus. They followed up with the Church in getting the date and time requested. What made it all the more special was the pamphlet they provided to the guests/ mourners at the wake. The pamphlet captured Dad's life and incorporated his passions and family in a memento as well as a board of photos. What a special gift when you want all to go well in a trying time. This made it very special and Dad would have been pleased. They even reach out later with available resources and services for grief.”
