This park is very understated and awesomely impressive. It's easily accessible from I 85. Honestly, the hike does require some serious physical exertion. Read up on your history before your visit and plan to spend a couple of hours.
Small but informative museum and gift shop. Exhibits updated with digital interface help to understand significance of past events. Safe and well-marked walking trail along the site of an important Revolutionary battle leading to a Patriot victory. Well worth the visit!
Awesome place to take the Family or loved one. Great place with a lot of American History. Beautiful facilities with lots of artifacts and great storytellers. A must visit if you love history and the outdoors. There are playgrounds, hiking trails, picnic areas, and a camp ground. A lot of other activities to do I failed to list.
This National Memorial site is very well done. It is hard to believe that such atrocities happened in the US. Makes us very thankful to God for the freedom we have. The firearms demonstration was excellent. Our kids really enjoyed it. We walking trail is nicely done and comfortable to walk on. Plan to spend at least a couple hours here.
I stopped by to get a pass, but it was damp and cold, so I didn't make it into the trails. The visitors center was pretty cool and both the Ranger as well as the lady working the front desk we're so nice! Be sure to grab a passport book so you can document your travels! Thanks for the help and for being so kind! I'll be sure to return soon.
