He was a foreign student from Hong Kong studying at The University of S.C. Not involved in the Chinese protests but supported the continuation of freedoms. Also, musically conversant recognizing the English Horn (?) and Lute.”

“This 24 hour McDonald's is a a good place to stop along the way home or if you are traveling to Myrtle Beach by way of highway 601 from Monroe. It is always clean, including the rest rooms. The staff is courteous. I have yet to get cold fries or food that does not taste fresh from here. In the summer rhey may run out of McFlurry stuff, though. It's relatively new, so the seating area is pretty much up to date. I think give it 5 stars for fast food service.”

“This coffee shop is a hidden gem in Clover!!! Not only is the decor absolutely adorable, but the coffee is delicious and very reasonably priced. Lots of flavors to choose from, whether you like it hot, iced or frozen, and you can add a shot of espresso if you'd like. They also serve a few breakfast foods like muffins, bagels, and today they also had quiche (not sure if that is available every day?). And as if that wasn't all awesome in itself, they also have cookies and serve quite the variety of ice cream. If you're wondering if it's worth it to go try this place- YES, it really is!!! I honestly wish I had tried it sooner.”

Unfortunately, table service was kind of slow the day we came on a Sunday afternoon with 4 kids & 3 adults. “A fun place that can be had by one person or a crowd. It's unique in the sense that it is an old house that is converted into a restaurant/bakery. The menu is varied and they are only open for breakfast and lunch. You can get pancakes, waffles and the normal breakfast, homemade soup, quiche, sandwiches, and hot choices. They are closed on Monday and they do take reservations. After dining there 4 times I can't wait to go back again.”
