I love Ezell-Harding!! I'm currently a senior, and sadly I will soon be leaving this wonderful campus. I have been here for 13 years, and I can honestly say that I would have never ever wanted to be anywhere else. Sure, this school has had its fair share of rough times, but what establishment doesn't? The number of rough times definitely don't exceed the number of great times!! I am going to be very sad when I have to graduate from this school, but I feel as though I am fully prepared for college and the rest of my life thanks to Ezell-Harding!!!
As a senior, it is hard to believe that I am about to leave this amazing school. Although it is difficult to leave, I am positive that my 13 years here have prepared me greatly for life beyond high school. Not every moment has been perfect, but Ezell-Harding truly exhibits the qualities of a family atmosphere and a loving community. I have enjoyed every year that I have spent at Ezell, and I will miss seeing familiar faces in the hallways everyday.
I can only give my opinion based on my experience with the school. I homeschooled all my children until high school, at which time we decided they needed some more formal schooling. Ezell-Harding was a very positive experience for all my children. My youngest child deals with high functioning autism, and every effort was made to accommodate his needs. I found the teachers loving and hard working. My children graduated in 2013, 2014, and 2015. All my children scored well on their ACTs, Yes, they give a lot of homework, but they leave well prepared for college. None of my children have had any problems adjusting to college life. In fact, they often remark on their amazement at the ignorance shown by some of their college classmates. My middle child won a full tuition scholarship to the school of her choice. I do not know why enrollment is down, I do not know why some teachers have left; I do know that I am a pushy mom who wasn't afraid to contact a teacher if there was a problem, and I never had one treat me with anything but kindness and respect. I will speak well of the school to anyone who asks because our overall experience has been good.
I have a daughter who started Ezell as a kindergartner and now is beginning her senior year. Her 12 years there have probably been the best educational decision my husband and I made. She has had more opportunities than I believe she could have had at any public school (travel abroad, playing varsity sports, attending Girls State, doing mission and service work, etc.), and her level of college preparedness is outstanding. I appreciate the focus on academics as well as spiritual growth that this school offers.
