Ignite Nashville Church

I highly recommend this church, it is Spirit filled. I have known the pastor there since we were both kids and I can honestly say he’s always had a STRONG passion and reverence for God, he preaches with conviction and regardless of if you decide you believe all the same things about Bible interpretation or not you will meet God there. His wife Cessna and leader Aaron Y are wonderful as well worship is deep and powerful. I give it an A++

The people were friendly and I really liked them. I do feel God is worshipped and loved here. I would encourage you to go especially if you are searching!

But for me, I'm very cautious of the whole speaking in tongues thing. I believe in it in regards to the Holy Spirit, but I believe when in a worship service, it should be within the context of I Corinthians 14 and to me, it didn't seem to be. There was no translator there, and that made me a bit apprehensive. I'm very cautious about this. And maybe I have it wrong.....

I've seen the miracles and the incredible movement of the Holy Spirit that defy human ability, but I have also seen so many times when it's not as much worship of God and the Holy Spirit and more worship of personal emotions and worship of a feeling rather than a worship of God. I'm still not sure which was going on here. Maybe both. I do believe that God is moving here, but my knowledge of I Corinthians 14 makes me hesitate on going back is all.

That being said, I definitely think the pastor loves God and I definitely think with the pastor, it does very much seem to be all about God. I do definitely think if you are searching that you should go and go with an open heart. I do think God moves here. But just make this more about submitting to God rather than just seeking out a feeling. When you make it 100% about God, I promise He will move!
