Several years ago my family and I were looking for a church home in the Nashville area. We tried many different churches over several months. The first time we came to Grace we knew it was home! We had been through some difficult times and were very obviously broken and struggling to find a place where we felt safe to work through our struggles and heal. This sweet church family embraced us, in our brokenness, and have loved us so well. It is a unique body of believers who are open about the real of life and don’t hide the joy or the sorrow. In the years we have been at Grace we have seen the mission and heart of this church more completely and we are so excited to be a part of what God is doing here. The vision of this church to be a village for broken people to find hope and love in Christ is apparent. We are excited to be used by God in this church!
I’ve grown up in this church and have loved it. It’s so encouraging how everyone welcomes visitors with open arms and make them feel at home. The music and both associate and head pastor are awesome and really bring the true word of God every Sunday morning. Love this place and wouldn’t change a thing.
*Updated review:
I read a poor review on here and had to speak up, as the I don’t believe the review reflects a true picture of the church whatsoever. I have been a part of the church since 2009 and have watched the leadership of the church tirelessly walk with people who are in various types of crisis (cancer, financial troubles, other terminal illness, grief/loss, parenting or other family crises, and way too many to count here). The pastor and elders/deacons make a point of making visitors feel welcome by getting to know them, and happen to know that the church has extended help to visitors regardless of whether they plan to make the Church of Grace Village their home church. The church has also reached out to families who are nonmembers to help in times of need, both through the Grace Academy/after school ministry and through connections other members have in the community. The church has a wonderful vision for reaching out to the community by ministering alongside Alive Hospice, End Slavery Tennessee, Counseling Professionals, and fostering and adoption agencies. I have to also mention that the church walked with me personally through some very difficult times in my life, and shared with me the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as helped to both to meet some monitory needs and also help me grow in areas of stewardship. I honestly don’t know where I would be today without the discipleship from this church family!
From Previous Review:
I love being a part of the Grace Presbyterian Church family, and feel so at home here. Our pastors are personally involved in the lives of church members, and preach grace and Truth from the pulpit each and every Sunday. I feel so fortunate to be a part of GPC!
A great church! Grace driven and gospel centered. A safe place for broken people to receive and share the healing grace of God in the finished work of Jesus Christ. A loving and caring community of believers striving to make visible the beauty and glory of God's invisible Kingdom. Love this community!!!
We were attracted to Grace Presbyterian Church by the authenticity of the people there, the sound scripture-based sermons that appeal to both head and heart, and the practical way the church serves and cares for families. The Growing Kids God's Way sessions were terrific for us as parents figuring out how to deal with everyday challenges (I don't want that for breakfast! No, Daddy! I'll be there in a minute! Awwww.) and helped us connect and support each other as real people all in the same boat. Amazing church!
