Shell

I live in Springfield and was on my way back from White House and needed some fuel and a restroom stop and I was pleasantly surprised how clean and well-kept the restrooms were. The gentleman working behind the register came out behind the counter and was checking things out and greeting folks and I thought that was a nice gesture. Very polite.

This Shell had the cutest and cleanest bathrooms. The staff were super nice also. Had a hiccup at one of the pumps getting gas but moved to another one and it worked out. Unfortunately that station didn't honor my Shell Platinum rewards. They need an upgrade.

Stopped here at 2 AM on a road trip from Michigan. Obviously I was hesitant about using a gas station bathroom but this stop quelled my fear. The employee was such a sweetheart and I felt super safe and WOW was the bathroom clean! Such a relief.

I love this service center. I know that's an odd thing to say, but I make a monthly trip from Louisville to Nashville and this is my one planned stop. It's right off the expressway, so it's easy to access and if you missed it are you sure you were driving with your eyes open?

Aside from what I'm going to call a "necessary stop", the store is usually pretty well stocked and organized. I'm always game for a snack and something to drink and they've always had just the right snack or beverage that I needed.

The store is usually kept clean and tidy. On occasion I'll arrive when they've just got a delivery so it may be necessary to walk around a few boxes, but as long as they're stocking the shelves I honestly don't mind.

The prices are very competitive for being expressway-adjacent. Usually you find that such convenient locations have convenient pricing, but I don't find their prices to be particularly outrageous. As far as the gas prices go, it's the same thing. They're not charging you extra because of location.

During almost all of my visits the manager (Nicki?) is there and greets me with a pleasant "Hello!" and we chat a little bit as I check out. I always look forward to this stop because it's a no-pressure situation. On occasion I'll wonder where something is and she's quick to point me in the right direction. No high-tech, no flashing lights, not loud "BUY THIS" audio. Just a laid back stop on the road to Nashville.
