If you are looking for "Premium" Live Edge Slabs, then you have to take a drive to see Daryl at Urban Timber Supply. I made a 2 1/2 hours drive and it was a WELL WORTH drive. Daryl has slabs from trees over 200 years old and the wood grain is out of this world. I purchase an 8ft Walnut slab and I can't wait to see how my wife's table going to look. I am very happy to find my local sawmill!!!!

What an incredible place! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and helped me choose the right slab for my project. He shared some insight on getting the results I wanted and recommended the right products to get it done. I walked away with a beautiful piece of walnut and a deeper appreciation for his craft. I'll post an update when my project is done. Dont bother shopping around, this is the only place you need to go.

I was needing a custom tabletop to mount on an existing base and some friends referred me to Darryl. I selected 2 slabs from a 150 year old white oak tree. An architect provided CNG drawings for the design that would fit within the footprint of a custom light fixture. The resulting table was beautiful. The surfaces were finished with a satin sealer that enhanced the natural beauty of the wood.
