I really recommend this place!
I had an appointment with Lucy this last January. She is very patient and caring and guided me through the process of finding the right tint for Irlen glasses. The place itself is very warm and welcoming. My appointment was over 2 hours. Lucy took the time to explain all the steps and helped me to navigate the process during the appointment and did lots of follow ups after. The follow ups really aided me filling good about this process while waiting for the tinted glasses to be ready and shipped. For me, when I put the tinted lenses on it really helped me with bringing objects closer together, making things more clear, having less tension on my eyes, and reducing glare.
I am now waiting for the glasses and meanwhile using the overlays, colored paper and sometimes when needed sun glasses outside.
I will put a further update when I will get the tinted glasses! :)
Thank you Lucy!
We were so fortunate to come across Ms.Lucy as she was passing through our area. We had been waiting a year to get in with a diagnostician to be tested for Irlen glasses. She was professional and kind during the entire process. My daughter has had a huge shift for the better since her glasses came in. She can see normally and hasn’t had the headaches or stomachs aches since wearing them. She is a much more pleasant mood and is sleeping better at night. Thank you!!!!!
Lucy was absolutely amazing, this is my second time getting screened for new colors and lenses and she couldn’t haven’t made it more easy and stress free. If you’re having trouble with fluorescent lights, reading black print on white paper, getting bad migraines it could be a sign that you have Irlen. I would encourage parents and anyone else to take a look at Irlen and get themselves tested or get their children tested. For me personally looking at black print on white paper is quite the challenge and makes reading, school and other academic things very difficult for someone with this condition. Irlen lenses help unbelievably well when it comes to things like this, it makes it to where reading isn’t as difficult, it eases the mind when doing and makes me able to concentrate a lot more with the lenses than without. Once again I couldn’t think Lucy enough for what she does and honestly probably wouldn’t have made it through school without my colored lenses. I hope this helps anyone looking for answers! God Bless
Lucy has helped me to understand Irlen Syndrome and what to expect. She's very patient and helps you find the filters that work for you. I've been very happy with my Irlen filters since I got them. I've included a picture of my Irlen filters over the last few years to show how I've progressed since I first got them. It's amazing how they've changed from year to year and shows how important it is to get an Irlen tint check!
I took my son to see Lucy at Expressways to Learning TN about 2 years ago. We had him tested and had him fitted for an overlay. This helped my son improve his reading abilities, ACT testing and focusing in class. A year later, we decided to have him fitted for the Irlen glasses and oh my what a HUGE difference this has made in his life. He wears them ALL the time! My son is in college now and is very engaged with his teachers, classes, friends and teammates. The glasses seemed to help him find a balance socially, intellectually and emotionally. He is now looking at also getting contact lenses for times when he is active in sports and outside activities . I can honestly say that working with Lucy was the best decision we made as a family. Lucy was sensitive to my son's needs and concerns. She made him feel very comfortable with learning differently. Today he is thriving in school and making great decisions! I highly recommend Lucy Clay at Expressways to Learning.
