Good Shepherd Episcopal Church

Warm and inviting congregation. The education/ formation opportunities are excellent. Wonderful clergy and staff!

This church, like all Episcopal churches, wants and welcomes all - with two wonderful preachers who are very caring and with a gentle leadership style - no hectoring, judging or lecturing...just teaching and offering simple spiritual guidance - fostering a direct relationship with God and encouraging forgiveness and fellowship with all, through Jesus.

I have been an Episcopalian for 53 years and I believe from the first visit at Good Shepherd that this has been the most welcoming of any church I have attended.
Maybe it’s my age, but I have become a part of several groups and have become
close like family.
Christian formation and Bible study
have increased my faith and knowledge to a degree that has become a necessity
for me,
I can’t imagine attending anywhere else!

We moved to Franklin, TN from out of state about a year and a half ago. To find a welcoming community, we looked for a compatible church.

We quickly found that church at Good Shepherd. The congregation and clergy were welcoming and embracing from the start. Both my wife and I have been able to engage in multiple volunteer and "social" activities. We have already met friends for a lifetime and look forward to deepening our relationship with both the church and fellow parishioners over the coming years.

If you want to see a sample of what goes on there, I highly recommend the "formation" event that occurs between the 8 AM and 10:15 AM services on Sunday. We haven't been that engaged in that many thoughtful discussions since college (and that was a LONG time ago).

This is a great, welcoming group of people, and we ended up joining the church in the last year! Come on by, you'll enjoy service and the folks here
