Lots of fabric! Looking for something specific to Nashville, but there wasn't much. There was a panel, but I didn't get it. Nice selection of Art Gallery fabric. I found a cute beach chair print.
WOW! What a mega fabric store! Stitchers Garden in Brentwood TN is stocked with thousands of bolts! 3 isles front to back of the store of just batiks, heaven! A large section in the back of wide backs, and I was able to find the perfect back for my king size Mexican Star quilt! We were there 45 minutes & I only walked 4 isles, had to be "quick" as hubby was patiently waiting in one of their rockers 😎. This is a must stop on your next road trip to Nashville or Paducah! It's just off I65 (½ mile).
Friendly, helpful staff and every type and color of quilting fabrics imaginable! Thank you for a wonderful shopping experience, I'll be back!
I have to say, I almost didn't go given some of the reviews here. Then I missed the turn and almost gave up. I'm so glad I didn't. HOLY COW!!! The selection of high quality quilt cottons is unbelievable (AGF, Kaffe, Moda, etc.). I can usually stroll through a new-to-me store in a few minutes and pick up something fun (or not). I went up and down EVERY aisle!
Had a lovely conversation with one of the gals working there (wish I'd gotten her name - so kind!) and chatted with Myra a bit as well. She was delightful.
I do think signage could help (though I still would have wandered up and down Every. Single. Aisle!). Some manufacturers are displayed all together, while others are combined into colorways or themes. Books and patterns looked like they may still be a work in progress - but there is a LOT to choose from. We all organized differently and that's fine, but signage could help a newbie find what they're looking for a little more efficiently.
Some cute touches - the way she folds her fat quarter bundles are unique (to me).
It was busy (pre Quilt Week in Paducah, so lots of road-trippers passing through). Only one cutting table, which does lead to waiting. But there's always something inspiring to look at on the walls, or a conversation to be had with fellow quilters that make me not mind the wait.
As I am just here for work this week - from Minnesota, and am very disappointed that I can't become a regular. My checking account, however will remain intact a bit longer...
I've been shopping at Stitcher's Garden for well over a decade (maybe two). They have a fantastic collection of well-organized fabric for quilters, from batiks to reproductions of 1930s-40s flour sack fabric, to the latest prints. They used to be located on Main Street in Franklin, TN and then in a shopping center near the I-65 exit in Franklin. They moved to a much larger location in early 2022 in Brentwood, TN, which is just over the southern border of Nashville. If you are a quilter, or crafter looking for cute or interesting cotton fabric, you don't want to miss this store. The staff is very knowledgeable, and the selection is amazing.
