El Sombrero - Franklin

My coworkers took me here and presented it as a solid normal Mexican restaurant in the US.
Can confirm! Normal Mexican restaurant (in Middle TN). Not amazing, not bad, just exactly what you expect it to be. No frills.
Our server was kind of rude and one of our friends didn't get what she ordered the first time, but it was corrected. The server wasn't over the top rude, but he definitely seemed to be over being there.
My chilaquiles was a solid dish. I didn't mean to, but I ate the whole thing. The guac cesaro we got was also good. The salsa was okay.
All in all, I liked it and would return. Service was pretty quick even though my friend got the wrong thing at first. She wasn't a huge fan of what she got, but we also chalked a bit of that up to them rushing to make it because it was wrong the first time.
Give them a shot if you need this experience. I know sometimes it's exactly what I need.

Stopped here on a whim because we were craving tacos and tequilas. Saw the guacamole casera and had to have it. BEST DECISION. Texas margaritas were awesome. The margarona too. Cheese dip with ground beef. Chicken fajitas also good. Everything was fresh. Definitely recommend.

Two words - Tortilla. Soup!

Their egg rolls were excellent as well. Guac is fresh and delicious, and the red sauce that came with the chips was great too. We love this place.

Wonderful food! And this is coming from a Mexican cuisine foodie from Texas! Great service! The Fajitas for two is PLENTY for a party of 4. So good. Highly recommend the choriqueso!

El Sombrero was delicious! It’s your typical Mexican place, which means it’s fantastic in my book! I got the mole enchiladas and they were super good. The chips and salsa are fresh and tasty. They have a great kids menu and lots of unique cocktails. We’ll be back!
