The people there could not be nicer. I had only been there once before for an oil change and tire rotation. My rearview mirror came off the windshield and I called to schedule an appointment to have it replaced. The very kind woman who answered the phone in the service department told me to just bring it in whenever it was convenient and they would get to it. She was right. I appreciated it very much. I will say this is the hardest service department I have ever had to get in and out of. You do not pull in to the service department like every other dealership I have ever dealt with. Leaving can be very tricky when you are parked in an angled parking spot that is not going the direction you need to go to leave and there are other cars being dropped off and moved. That being said, the people make up for that. I drive from Mount Juliet to Lebanon because Bates Ford has much better customer service than Three RIvers Ford in Mount Juliet.
I'm from Oregon and needed some work done and an oil change. Drove into the service department with no appointment and they worked me in. They honored my contract with my home dealership and wasn't charged. And they were so friendly. Kids and I were comfortable in the waiting area, they had their tablets and played games while we waited. Thank you Bates.
I went in just looking around a very polite salesman came my way his name is Richie Rich. Very polite very understanding and friendly. We got to talking about what I was looking for I came back in 2 weeks later and we walked around and talked he had all the information on every vehicle I looked at. Well within 2 hours I found what I wanted and was in and out the door. Actually this was the fastest vehicle purchase I’ve ever made and Richie Rich made everything work out perfectly for me. A great salesman and a very genuine person.
If you’re looking for a good vehicle and need someone that takes the time to listen to you and make it happen then you better go to Bates Ford and ask for Richie Rich. Thank you guys for everything.
We purchased a 2023 Ford Ranger from Rich at Bates Ford and it was an easy and peaceful experience. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and helped us purchase in a quick and efficient way. We had just had a bad situation come up with a different dealership and decided to try Bates Ford. Rich made sure we felt comfortable and were happy with our decisions. We are extremely satisfied customers and plan to continue doing business with Rich in the future.
We’ve bought two cars from Bates Ford over the years, and I use their service department for my Ford vehicles. Since most reviews would focus on those customer-service experiences, I’ll say up front that I’ve always gotten a square deal with these fine folks. We had some transmission issues with a little used SUV we bought from them a few years back, and they stuck it out and made it right. I can’t think of a better indicator that Bates is in it for the long game - our relationship and their reputation was their focus, so they kept at it until it was right. That alone would keep me coming back to them.
Then there’s the service department - it’s just a great group of friendly people. Stopping by for scheduled maintenance on my new truck feels more like hanging out at a friend’s place than it does messing with a chore. Which is why I posted all of the pictures with this review - I always spend at least half of my service wait time geeking out on all the cool stuff they’ve got on display around the lounge and lobby. The collection is always changing, so if you’re a old-timey fan like me, a visit here can be more like a visit to a museum than a garage.
I’d also like to take a minute to point out the generosity Bates consistently shows the community. I gladly give my business to companies that support our community, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a local company that puts more into our town than Bates. This is nothing less than an institution - and that’s a reality that they seem to take very seriously. They’ll do you right.
