A great message but not welcoming at all. I came the first time to the 9am service I was about 15 mins late no one greeted me and when I walked in the auditorium I had to seat myself. The second time I came to the 10:30 service I was greeted at the beginning then after the service I went to the first time guest section to get more information about the church and watched 3 volunteers of the church walk straight past me. Being that this church is 5 mins away from me I was hoping that this could be a new home church.
And crazy that the message was about being aware of the people in close proximity of you...
Update: The campus pastor and his team came to visit me, bought me the welcome gift and lunch. They were very receptive to my feedback and were open to hearing my story. Amazing team!
Great church, warm people, and great Christlike atmosphere that is combined with great teaching. I noticed on another review that some people are not used to a telecast sermon, so it can take time to get used too.
There is a campus pastor assigned to every church to connect with and communicate with that is designated to help foster the local body. Different method than a small church, but a very productive model for Christ that works. 🙏👍
We moved to Hermitage six weeks ago and are in the process of looking for a home church.
We visited Crosspoint in Mt. Juliet last Sunday. Let me start by saying we absolutely love the people. Exactly what we are looking for. Forty somethings mixed with young professionals. We love the contemporary atmosphere and music. I wish it had everything we are looking for, but unfortunately it is missing one key element.
It is missing a local Pastor. How odd it was once the sermon started for the Pastor to be telecasted from the headquartered pulpit in Nashville. What made it stranger was when he said “with all eyes closed and all heads bowed raise your hands.” Raise your hands for what? He isn’t there to see who raises their hands.
Why wouldn’t an assistant Pastor be ordained to lead and preach to the local congregation?
Very odd and very disappointing. We really had high hopes this would be our church. Because we like it so much we will occasionally visit hoping this changes.
"Everyone is welcome." They really believe it. I've been in there with my biggest awkward vulnerability, and I was welcomed with nothing but love. It was open arms! They write "everyone is welcome" really big on the walls, and it is because it is gigantic in their hearts as well. No matter where you have been, this church says "Welcome home." They truly believe in God's never ending, relentless pursuit of us. If you think going back to church, or giving church a chance, is going to make God strike you with lightning, this is the church which will prove you wrong.
