“The Great Escape has been a Nashville institution since the late 70s. The downtown location was amazing and I still miss it. But they moved to this new location on Charlotte in 2010. Growing pains of the new Nashville, that prime location was no longer affordable. The Charlotte location is fine though, plenty of square footage and ample parking. They have lots of music, movies, memorabilia and comics. I find something to buy every time I'm out there. They have sidewalk sales regularly to clear inventory as well. While it lacks the charm and cool location of the downtown store, it's still definitely worth visiting, and you can get some bargains there.”
