It would be difficult and cumbersome to describe our experience with Nathan in full. First, our daughter has just completed her 2nd year with him...WOW! Nathan was suggested to us by my coworker's son who personally knew him. As parents (not our daughter), we had a difficult experience with the previous instructor. So it was difficult thinking it could happen again. Not so with Nathan. From the get go, our young daughter's growth with the piano and music in general has truly progressed. She has to be pushed to practice, but when it comes time for the lesson (30 minutes), our daughter seemingly can't wait. Nathan is gentle to a kid's spirit, but stern to the ability; never rigid.
Second, Nathan works with the student and parents. We do not try interrupting schedules, but when we have to, Nathan tries to oblige. Makes us want to do the same for him; we are so appreciative. This testimony can't fully express what character Nathan has, but it does show up in my daughter. Thanks Nathan!
Nathan is a terrific piano teacher. My daughter started with him at age 6. He is always very patient. He makes sure that she understands the concepts thoroughly. He also makes sure that the technique is perfected enough before moving on the next one. Lastly, he gives clear instructions on the homework via details email message or video. My daughter stays engaged and enjoys learning piano with Nathan. He is very knowledgeable piano instructor and makes learning piano fun.
