Goose Island State Park

The people employed here are simply wonderful. They are as accommodating as they are professional and very much seem to enjoy their work and coworkers.
This park has two basic areas, water/woods, which basically means; slightly more expensive/ less for the woods..more wind/less wind..less mosquitoes/more mosquitoes..less wildlife/more critters..less privacy/more so in the woods.
Nice fishing pier. Good bike ridding. The Big Tree is nearby.
We stayed waterside in a 25' class C.

We arrived after the office was closed and had a heck of a time finding site 221 in the wooded area. There are no signs marking the "Live Oak Loop". Site 221 is very large & overall great but it is in full sun. There really isn't parking at your site in this loop but it is close by. Bathrooms are a short walk - only two showers for that loop & an RV loop. The fishing pier was perfect. We forgot bait but there's a great bait shop down at the docks. Don't plan on sleeping past 7am...the air boats are loud!

The park is clean. Public restroom close to our site was closed.

My daughter goes to this school and she loves the teachers, staff and the student I am happy that she is going here

I had joined the ECFE program here for my twin daughters. That's a great experience. My daughters enjoyed it a lot. It's really good program to start separation and preparing them for preschool and kindergarten. Teachers and staff were really helpful. I loved the parent and teacher class too, where everyone can discuss about and share their parenting experience. It was really fun.
