Kuntry Korner

Left about 5 minutes ago. Stopped for gas when I saw the sign that read “Try our famous burgers.” So I parked my car, went inside to try the burger. The menu said “Ask for our famous sauce.” So far this little, he in the wall diner has hyped themselves up. Best burger I ever had. I know where I’ll eating when I’m on the road!

We stopped on Saturday on the way to Smithson Valley for a competition. Tacos were delicious. Girl at the counter was very nice. Everything was good except for the older Hispanic woman at the store counter. She was very rude. Other than that it was great 👍

Stopped by this morning on the drive up from Corpus and was smiling ear-to-ear when my breakfast plate arrived. If you grew up on homemade southern style breakfast this is a great place to try out. Best grits and biscuits that I have had after 15 years of searching across Texas. Sat at the counter and had quick and immediate service. Had a chance to talk to the staff/cooks and felt like I was back home catching up with a favorite aunt.

The gas station was just a basic, but busy, roadside Truck Stop. A little worn for the wear but you could tell they put a personal touch on it. There's a hotel/motel attached but that was not part of our stop.

Plenty of room to park, no other businesses around, and space to walk your pets if needed.

I've stopped here for years and it is a comfortable station. The restaurant is basic but filling. The bathrooms are usable and reasonably priced. It's small but reminds me of many years ago when there were no stops between SA and CC

Always a pleasure a welcoming place to stop during travel or local visit. Great cafe too! Truck stop and motel plus unique souvenir and gift shop area. Kid friendly and clean restrooms too. A full truck stop of many years with shower wifi etc. Whether group trip or single stopper the Kuntry Korner open 24 hours is a harbour indeed!!
