“Wanted to give a huge shout out of gratitude to Erin at the convenience store (Shell?) At PR 37 & 1283 last night. My dad & I were out cruising in our 56 Chevy wagon when it overheated. It was somewhere between 9-10 & the Valero we rolled into was closed & the water machine wasn't working. Told my dear old Dad to stay with the car & I'd get us water & a drink. Erin's store was out of gallon water (we were going to pour it outside of radiator to help cool it down) but she came up with a quick easy way for this outta shape overweight 50 year old to hoof it back to the hot car with required cooling fluids for all. Erin, I can't thank you enough for helping me find the best & cheapest solution to my problem. She said she was "just an assistant manager" but she'll always be more than that to me! Hope you're doing well, Erin!!!”

“Wonderful vet and caring staff. I moved to Lakehills in 2017. My now husband and I have 3 small dogs. She knows us and them by sight. They have worked us in on multiple occasions with the best care and kindest mannerisms I could ever ask for. Our dogs were not country dogs and had to learn some hard lessons (as did their parents). This vet is everything I could hope for. She and her staff have calmed my fears, stayed late, opened early, tried to refuse payment when it was a quick exam (me being panicky, when nothing was actually wrong. I could never put a price on the soundness of mind they give us). They have amazing hours for the middle of nowhere and always have their patients well fair in first in their practice and hearts. I could go on and on. It shocks me that their are bad reviews. I have had nothing but amazing experiences with the entire staff.”

“I love staying at Lake Medina! I stayed in the cabins and they are nice. I liked going on hikes and being able to see the wildlife out there. Then being able to come back, take a swim in the pool and end the night by our campfire. The cabins have everything you need. Fridge, stove, pots, pans etc. The cabins are really clean and the beds are great! They're spacious and nice to relax in.”

“Our kids really enjoy Thousand Trails Medina Lake! Their highlight of each day is when they get to feed the deer. I recommend taking your own sack of deer corn, especially if you will be there a few days. We've done both tent camping as well as stayed in the cabins. The pool is very large and clean, but it's been under construction for several months. I would call to make sure it's open if that's something you are looking forward to. There is an air conditioned community center with a pool table, baby rooms, inside and outside has a large area to play tennis, ping pong, volleyball, basketball and also a small playground. Next to that is a mini golf course. The place does needs some upkeep, but i'm sure that's something their new management is working on. Overall, if you're looking for a nice, nature filled, quiet outing away from home...this is it.”
