This place was amazing. Highly recommend it. The hosts were very friendly and everything was top notch. You could just hang out at the property and hike, grill, chill by the fire, swim, soak, play, and enjoy the room. Or go kayaking and/or check out the fun Bastrop downtown. Definitely coming again.
We had a great time staying at The Reserve. The room was nice with a view of the sky from the bed. Their hiking trail was great. The owners/hosts were really friendly too. Lots of outdoor activities nearby too. We enjoyed kayaking at the lake. Exploring downtown Bastrop was also fun. Check out the museum and good food in town.
We absolutely loved our recent stay at the Reserve at Greenleaf. We were there for three nights, so we really got a chance to relax and unplug. The property is quiet, feels private, and is well-maintained. We stayed in the Lantana yurt, which felt secluded in the best way. Jeanne and Bubba were amazing hosts- every detail was accounted for. They were flexible with our timing for kayaking and the pool based on the weather, and came by to say hello and put up the hammock. There were great snacks and a s'mores kit in the yurt, and Bubba and Jeanne set up the fire pit by the hot tub so we didn't have to lift a finger. Bubba provided guidance to the nearby lake for kayaking, and set up the kayaks for us. We definitely recommend adding on pool time - it's a great pool with a super fun waterslide! We enjoyed the hiking trails as well. (A tip: if you use the free trial of the onX Hunt app for the trail guides, remember to cancel the trial after your stay so you don't get charged for a subscription!) You feel like you're out in nature at the Reserve, but it's also just a short drive to downtown Bastrop for shopping and food options. We hope we can come back soon.
Delightful escape to the country for non-campers. The yurts and property are immaculate, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a restful, stress-free stay. Jeannie and Bubba were fantastic hosts and took great care of our family. We enjoyed hiking the property, kayaking on the nearby lake and exploring historic downtown Bastrop.
Just beautiful and perfect for what we wanted: a pet-friendly (Copper Lily only I believe) weekend getaway in nature. The room was amazing, picturesque, spacious, and clean. We appreciated the little, thoughtful touches like robes and towels to use for the hot tub and complementary snacks. It was great to have the grills and activities like cornhole right by the yurt. The hiking was so relaxing and peaceful. It all felt very luxurious and lovely, 5/5, would recommend. Truly a gem, not far from Austin.
