Boerne Vision Center at Fair Oaks

The whole staff at Boerne Vision Center was amazing with my children during their first pediatric eye exams! The new Fair Oaks location is beautiful, clean, and welcoming from scheduling to check-in to exit! Jayden was awesome, calming, and kind with my nervous kindergarten and 1st grader who had never been to the eye doctor before. He made sure to explain what was going to happen with the different eye instruments and machines on their level so they wouldn’t be afraid. Dr. Johnson was gentle, fun, and efficient at figuring out why my child was having trouble reading and getting a prescription for glasses. Dr. Riaz was thorough in making sure my child’s vision was okay after sustaining an injury to the head and eye area. Both doctors were fabulous with my kids and answered all my questions! Michael made picking out my kiddo’s first pair of glasses a breeze and a fun experience! We are now set up with glasses, and I look forward to returning for routine eye exams for myself and our whole family!

I returned for my own visit, and Dr. Johnson was AMAZING in fitting me (a patient with complex vision abilities) with contacts! She spent so much time with me to problem solve and truly determine what lenses would work best for me based on my daily personal/vocational needs! She was able to figure out how to get me back into soft lenses after I had been fitted with a hybrid hard/soft lens for one of my eyes three years ago by a different doctor. Not only do I now wear less expensive contacts, but I’m seeing better than ever before! I could not be happier with my vision! I can’t even remember the last time I had 20/20 vision with contacts!

I needed help finding a pair of glasses. I finally found a pair After multiple attempts at different stores and websites. The front desk employees were so helpful in answering my questions. The sales person for the glasses was the best I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend them!

From the moment I called Boerne Vision Center, the customer service was impeccable. The sweet man on the phone got me scheduled ASAP, got me my new patient email and text within seconds. Very organized and thorough. My appointment ran on time, Jayden was very nice and thorough and explained the process of my intake and eye testing. Dr. Johnson was extremely friendly and thorough. She actually diagnosed me with an eye condition that I had never been told I had before and was willing to try a new eye prescription that would help me tremendously. She gave me a lot of options and was very flexible with my follow up. She also did a lasik consult for me and discussed different options and gave her professional opinion about what she would recommend and which providers would work best with my financial needs. Honestly this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at an optometrist exam. I would highly recommend these folks to entrust in your care!

I have been wearing glasses for 40 years and Dr. Johnson is -the best- eye doctor I have ever been to! That is not exaggeration or hyperbole. She explained and had solutions for eye issues I’ve been struggling with for years. I feel I see better on several levels because of her thorough exam of my eyes, the intuitive and personable quality of her explanations and instructions. She and her assistant were also phenomenal with my special needs children, one of whom is non-verbal and cannot describe what she sees. I was amazed with their ability to work with her and make her feel so comfortable.

The man who fit me for frames was likewise super informative, helpful and friendly; considering all of the preferences I have and making several excellent suggestions. Often, I’ve been just directed to the frames and told to let them know when I’ve chosen the frames I like, but he was actively invested in ensuring I had the perfect frames for me and took lots of time helping me sort that out.

I can’t say enough about how pleased and relieved I am to have found such excellent care for my children and myself for the vital need of good vision and healthy eyes. I recommended Boerne Vision Center highly and most unreservedly and wish them many long years of success for their practice.

Went to Boerne Vision Center for my first eye exam ever. Didn’t really know what to expect from the process but it was a great experience. Getting an appointment was easy and the staff followed up to remind me the day before. Checking in was easy the day of. Dr. Johnson was very thorough and explained everything she was about to do which helped ease my anxiety. She was more than happy to answer any of my questions and you can tell she is not only great at what she does but really enjoys it. Michael helped me find a pair of glasses that fit well, looked good, and was within my budget and insurance allowance. There wasn’t any pressure or upselling and I could tell he had my best interest in mind. Overall, I will be continuing to come here for my vision needs even though it’s a little out of my way because it’s worth it.
