We went here shortly after they opened and again for my sons birthday this year. Both times we all absolutely loved it! They now have so many more interactive animal exhibits which made it even cooler. All of the staff were extremely friendly and extremely informative. We are definitely making plans to go back soon!!
Wasn't expecting to find this little treasure when I went to visit my aunt, but the aquarium - which is more like a mini-zoo - far surpassed my expectations. There were all kinds of different animals, from kangaroos and lemurs to parrots and turtles to axolotl and rays. The interactive nature of several of the exhibits, including the aforementioned lemurs and rays really made the trip special. The souvenirs were also adorable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has the chance to go.
This place is Awesome! The staff is amazing.I wanna send a huge shout out to T.O. he was amazing and informative. He made my birthday a day to remember. The animals are amazing. The hands on experiences were so awesome. I will be back. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Took my nephew boo here. Think I was more excited than him. We had a great time! Loved that it was interactive most of all. Highlight of my visit was seeing these two birds get it on! Lol. Will definitely return by myself to interact with more of the animals.
I've been to aquariums in Houston, New Orleans, and Atlanta. The San Antonio aquarium was by far my favorite. We've been to an animal sanctuary in Honduras and it was more like that location rather than a typical American thing. If there was a permanent petting zoo on roids, this is it! ???? Don't judge it on its curb appeal since that part under delivers. It's not fancy high dollar shiny exhibits like the others (even though you know the exhibits are pricey to build), but instead is more hands on and interactive with the creatures. My kids (actually our whole party of 7 people up to grandparents) thoroughly enjoyed our time here. There is a base entrance fee and token packages which allow you to redeem x amount for feeding or holding animals. You can still have some interactions with just the entrance fee, but you'll probably WANT to interact after seeing all these awesome exhibits. Most feeding attractions are 1 token. There is also a play room for toddlers with toys and chairs for the adults which is a perfect place to go if the kids are over stimulated or if your nursling needs a quiet spot to eat. Don't forget there's also an outdoor area with kangaroos, a pond with benches IN it to let fish nibble on your toes, several sweet birds, and a tortoise. We did see a jump bounce area for an extra charge, but we never went in it since we had so much fun interacting with the animals. ????
