Lot's of food for the money. I ordered the Admiral's Plate. Clean place and nice staff. There is a condiment station that has all the good stuff like a tarter sauce pump, peppers, sliced lemons and lime, salsa. You place your order at the counter and then look for a place to sit. Nice atmosphere. Good parking. The fried portion was hot. My rice was barely warm. When I got through eating, I put my left overs in a container and it looked like I didn't even touch it. Check out my photo of the to go box.
J. Anthony's catfish plate was pretty tasty. I had French fries that were just ordinary, and coleslaw that was great. Service was great. My order was to go, and the man carried it over to me and opened the door for me when I left as their door is very hard to open. I guess it's so heavy. I saw they had the Mexican bread pudding, Capirotada, so I had to get some, but that was very disappointing. It had, I guess, a little coconut , sprinkled on it instead of cheese, and it was too watery. But all in all, it wasn't too bad. I would prefer my own fish fry, but too much trouble for just me. I would recommend the place.
The service and food were fantastic! The service was fast, friendly and continued until the end. The fried shrimp were some of the best I've had in a long time. They tasted fresh and the breading was flavorful and crunchy. The rice dressing had just the right amount of heat and was fluffy and flavorful. The corn was not too soft or firm, just right. It was cooked with onions, bell peppers and other b seasonings. I will definitely be back!
