The Haven Southtown

The food was great with great service with reasonable prices. Literally the only real drink I had is when I visited San Antonio and it tasted awsome. Alot of places that I visited seemed like they sour mixed the drinks to death but not this place. It's so clean on the inside and the food was delicious.

Came in on a Sunday morning and were sat right away.

Ordered some breakfast tacos and French toast.
Food and drinks came out super fast.

Green salsa that was on the table was my favorite.

Our waitress Dolores was exceptional, she was very friendly and attentive.

My husband and I tried them for the first time today and I don't know where to start. Staff, friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and we saw tables being cleaned quickly after people left. But the food is the main thing and it was really good. They melted the cheese on my tacos instead of just putting it inside. Potatoes weren't over cooked or under cooked. And for us it was rare to find a place without dried out eggs and beans. We are some picky eaters so believe me when I say I love this place.

The 1st time I came in here was 9 years ago. The owner who sadly passed was Jerry Sr. So, happy to see that his son Jerry Jr and Olga his wife are now running the restaurant. Their son Anthony runs the kitchen. This family is kind and passionate about their restaurant. No wonder why each employee seems to care about the restaurant.
The food is definitely something to write about as well. The family is great but, the food is phenomenal.
One of the first things I noticed is that a lot of locals were eating there. Great sign of a great restaurant. Then the restaurant was supper clean. Another great sign even though they are short staffed.
The shrimp tacos and the jumbo margarita w/Dos Equis in it. They were delicious!!!!! I could have drank a pitcher of margaritas. And eaten more then 3 tacos. Just saying.
The food and service are awesome.
Having locals come and eat at your restaurant is a strong indicator that the food is authentic and good.
More tourists need to find this hidden gem in my opinion.
Plus, my bartender was a local surgery tech who was working 2 jobs. I admire her hard work and dedication not only to the restaurant but, her family as well.
It's great to see this beautiful town of San Antonio support a legendary restaurant.
Will be back and definitely will always promote it. Huge fan.

Great place, we enjoyed all the art work. Breakfast was amazing, between the 10 of us in our party we all enjoyed our meals. Men's restroom could use a good cleaning starting at the entry door. We would definitely eat here again.
