“At the recommendation of a friend, I made an appointment with Dr. Ally Jackson to see if she could help me with an extremely painful lower back injury. At my first appointment, Dr. Jackson thoroughly explained what I might expect from Airrosti, evaluated my range of motion/movement, recommended three sessions to work through my injury and began treating me that day. No lie, the treatment is painful, but unbelievably effective. After 30 minutes with Dr. Jackson, I spent 30 minutes getting iced, taped and instruction on recovery exercises from Joann Franck, MPH, Dr. Jackson's Recovery Specialist. I could already tell the difference in my pain level and literally felt better as I walked out the door! Fast-forward to the morning of my third appointment: after conversation about how I was feeling - which was NO PAIN! - and an evaluation of my motion, Dr. Jackson determined my third session was not necessary! I can't say enough about how much I appreciate and recommend Dr. Jackson and her MPH, Joann Franck! “I did some fairly extensive research before choosing an implant surgeon for my wife and rated Dr. Schmitz head and shoulders above anyone else in South Texas. He has the highest level of implant certification and has served on the faculty at U.T. (their faculty members are typically the very best in their respective fields). His office is mid sized with a focus on patient care for single patient volume. He is something of a perfectionist who will accept nothing less than the best possible outcome for every patient. He spends as much time as necessary at each phase of the process to insure that outcome. He explains all aspects of the process completely and routinely calls his patients in the evening after a surgical procedure to insure their well being. My wife is well taken care of here. “My mother lived at Bader House after she could no longer live in assisted living. I was very pleased with her care and that she was loved unconditionally by everyone at Bader House. At times my mother could be very difficult to deal with because of dementia. Lydia, Maxi and the staff at Bader House would always find ways to calm her down and help her to have a good day. My mother was given excellent care whether we were in town or out of town. I never worried about her care. My mother was a retired nurse and Lydia told me a loving story about their relationship. My mother thought that she and Lydia had worked together before. Lydia has a way of building relationships with the residents and their families. One day my mother rounded the corner and Lydia was getting ready to give out medications for the evening. She could tell that my mother was on a mission by the expression on her face. When she approached Lydia, she asked her if she was supposed to give meds that evening or take vitals. Lydia with a calm and loving voice told her that it was her turn to give out meds and that she would love it if my mom would assist with the vitals. This is just one of many examples of where my mother was given something to do for others. The important thing that I believe my mother experienced the most at Bader House was the word, "Yes". Not no you can't go outside because of the weather instead they would redirect her to walk with them around on the inside. She was kept safe and was happy. Many times, she was given one on one foot massages by one of the staff or Lydia. Dementia is a terrible disease that is difficult to live with for the person that has it as well as the caregivers. Bader House made this journey more bearable with all of their love and support for my mother and my husband and me. Bader House will always have a special place in our hearts.”
