  I recently needed to order some plantation blinds for my house. I decided to go back to the business in San Antonio that I purchased the original set from in mid-2000s, Royal Window Fashions (RWF). The ownership had changed due to the previous owner being passing. However, the company was still in business, and the new owner, Rand, a previous customer to RWF had purchased the company. I called, and Rand answer the phone. He scheduled the visit to my house, arrived on time, and had researched my previous order prior to arrival. I showed Rand the area I needed to cover, and we went to work selecting something that would color match the other coverings installed – light oak color, wood grain, size, shape, etc. Rand took the measurements, and provided a free quote on the spot. Order time for these types of things is 6-8 weeks. My order arrived a week later than expected – so plan for potential delays into any timed or dependent arrangements you may have. However, once the order arrived at their office, they were quick to get the product install scheduled. Rand uses another contractor to install the Window coverings RWF sells, and this contractor is very capable, and professional. They even work Saturdays, as needed, to stay on schedule.
  
  I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good, quality product with down to earth honest approach, and good old fashion customer service.

  We recently purchased Symphony Cellular Shades for our home. We upgraded to the "room darkening" and raise and lower from top or bottom options. They are fantastic. We had our first cold snap and we immediately noticed the cold "draft" that was created by our old blinds was absolutely gone. The tight side to side fit, the dead air cells and the 2-3 inch dead air between the blinds and the single pane windows create great insulation. We were considering upgrading to double panned windows but these blinds insulate so well that we are keeping the windows. Early morning we open the blinds from the bottom to give great light and a beautiful view. In the evening we drop them from the top so we can see out but have great privacy with the indoor lights on. At night we close them completely for the insulation effect. They are a winner all around. We are able to use our family room as a TV room since the blinds work so well during the day. Please do your homework before you upgrade to double panned windows. These blinds give you many more options at a great savings both in direct and indirect cost. The workmanship and installation were first rate. This is our second purchase as we didn't even consider a different vendor because of the quality all around.

  The first time I worked with Royal Windows was several years ago in a former home. Outstanding experience. I started out doing just a few windows but was so impressed with their company and product, I ended up putting shutters on every window in the house! I am building a new home and I asked them to put shutters on all my windows from the start. I would NEVER even consider using any other company for custom shutters. Shutters from Royal Windows are beautiful! Their sales rep, is extremely knowledgeable, professional and could not be friendlier. Their installer, who has been with the company for over 10 years is THE BEST HANDS DOWN. The shutters themselves are the best I have seen. When I lived in my former home, I did ask another company to give me an estimate but after actually comparing it with Royal Windows, there was no question as far as the quality of the product. You can definitely feel and see the difference when you compare samples. I am a "you get what you pay for" kind of person and Royal Windows definitely fits that bill. Also, it was VERY important to me that they manufacturer their own shutters. I recommend them without reservation.

  The Alamo was in need of new drapes in one of our rental facilities; after interview several companies we went with Royal Window Fashions. Never regretted that decision; the sales rep, Michael R. walked us through many ideas and helped us narrow down the right fabric for a historical building. A lot of patience on his part and the end result was outstanding. I would use them again even for my own home.

He stole over a month of labor from me, and because of all of that money being stolen from me, I couldn't afford to pay for insurance for health coverage for my family without taking out a loan and getting into debt.
