“I love this place so much because I used to go there in kinder, first second, and third.I used to have a girl and she was the love of my dreams. But the most sad part was I had to leave schools .I promised her that I would never forget her. When I first met her I fell in love with her. Ever since I left that school I never forgot her name and how she looked.I always told her everyday she looked beautiful. To Kaylee M From your first love Charles.”

“I went here for preschool I think back in 2004 or 2005. I remember it being an awesome place and I still have my school bus name tag fridge magnet that they gave us on the last day of school. I remember there being a bus driver with SUPER long hair.... and a bunch of other stuff. Too much to describe.”

“I love Powell, I love the teachers and staff. Every one is so welcoming and everywhere you go on campus, your greeted with hellos and smiles. They are very protective on people coming on campus, they just got the new security system done (before 2016-2017 school year), I felt at peace dropping my daughter off every morning, she'll be moving on to 1st grade here and I hope I have the same great experience with her first grade teacher as I did With her kindergarten teacher, (Ms Worley is amazing!)”

“If it weren't for the Spanish Immersion Magnet School that NISD offers through Esparza Elementary my kids wouldn't go there. The teachers and admin are exceptional but it is a Title 1 School which means that the majority of families that are sending their kids to that school are considered low-income. Regardless of where the school is located the Spanish Immersion program there is fanominal!! The amazing kids that are accepted into this program, starting in Kinder & continuing through 5th grade, are immersed in the Spanish language learning not only to speak fluently but to read and write as well. The Immersion Program continues at Sul Ross Middle School which is directly across the street from Esparza. By the end of their 8th grade year they not only have their high school Foreign Language credit but their Foreign Language College credit. I can't say enough about this program, the teachers, school admin, etc. It's worth the drive everyday to drop off and pick up your child if you live in the NISD & this is not your feeder school.”
