“It was our first time going. We all enjoyed our food. The complimentary sampler plate was a nice surprise. We liked everything on there. You get a sample of the following, clam chowder, jalapeño bisque, gumbo, crab bisque, and fried oysters. The main meal was delicious! We got the salmon nachos as an appetizer. We had a cup of clam chowder, the BBQ Salmon tacos, the shrimp tacos, and the fish sandwich with fries. We were going to eat dessert, but they were all out of the bread pudding. We will definitely be returning.”

They had all sorts of activity stations for not only children, but middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults too! The kids loved the fiesta craft table and computer games. “My dear friend had encountered several ok to sub par San Antonio hospices before finding Guiding Light, we met with Dan who sold me with his honesty and didnt over promise or set expectations they may not keep as many do! My freind is not the easiest to care for and finally needed a placment out of the home. They helped us to find a place unfortunatly this small family care home was determined unsafe within weeks of her arrival there, being short staffed and unregulated, and urgent replacement was needed. They pulled together as a team and in my 30 years as a previous hospice director they truly impressed me and her son -they found a safe place for her in under 24hrs. I would highly recommend the coordination and care shown by this hospice to others seeking a safe place for a family member to spend their remainder of their time on earth with. A very big KUDOs to this team. % stars well earned and deserved”

“After being introduced to a new manager by watching her be rude to employees and me, I’ll save around $3,000 a year by avoiding this place. I have an espresso machine, I was being lazy because I appreciate the positive interaction on stressful mornings. I’m so glad that I was able to take a 20 minute moment to reflect, and really, not one employee looked happy or had a word to say so maybe this is the new model in leadership. Anyway, huge shout out to the entire staff aside from the presumed new manager who made this morning rough where nice once was. Thanks again for the time and circumstances to reflect on my poor spending habit- 10/10 not worth.”
