(March 16, 2019, 10:45 am)I ate lunch at Filipp's Cafe with my sister and our youngest children (1 year old twins and a 5 year old). We all had the fried shrimp, they were fresh, huge, and so delicious! Seasoned fries were also yummy. Friendly, courteous, old-fashioned, down-home service and fresh hand-battered goodness like you just don't find often. The place has a cool family history and a laid back feel. Truly a hidden gem. I travel to Danbury every couple of months and look forward to the next opportunity to eat here.
(March 14, 2019, 10:40 pm)We are very impressed with Fillipp's! We enjoyed the foods. We had boiled shrimp as an appetizer, we had the fried shrimp, fried oysters, stuffed crab, crab cakes, rib eye steak. The atmosphere was great. The baked potatoes were cooked spot on. We have raved about it since last night. Definitely will visit again when we come back to visit.
