“When my wife or I ever get sick, we usually go to the Brazosport Regional Urgent Care Center on Oak Dr. in Lake Jackson. We can usually get in much quicker than our regular doctors office. Most of the time we have seen Gladys. She has always been great. She always takes the time to listen to us. Gladys gives a thorough exam. She then takes the time to explain. She is friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. My wife and I always feel we had quality health care at this facility especially if Gladys is there. I can't remember her last name. “Edit on 9/23: After my previous review, the manager reached out to me for further feedback. I typically don’t leave very many negative reviews, however I felt that my comments could hopefully be used by Massage Heights to better the experience for their customers. I could not have been more impressed by the way that Massage Heights was appreciative of my feedback and the details I left. I returned yesterday for a massage with a difference therapist and had a very positive experience. I hope that in the future the staff will be trained to better match the therapists to the needs of the customers. I would definitely recommend Faith for a deep tissue massage in the future. Original Review: I was very hesitant to leave this review as the young lady that gave me my massage was very friendly and professional. When I called to book my massage, they were ready to book me without asking what “type” of massage I wanted. I very specifically wanted a good deep tissue massage, and should have seen my first red flag when I was told that all their massage therapists do all the massages. In my experience at massage facilities, while all may be “capable” of doing deep tissue massages, the strength and experience of the massage therapist differs wildly, and as a massage facility manager, this should be recognized instead of just stuffing whoever with whatever therapist is available. Fast forward to my massage today. Upon arriving, I filled out the standard paperwork of areas I wanted focused on, any areas I didn’t want focus on, etc. I very specifically wanted my right shoulder, my hips, hamstrings, and feet worked. I run over 100 miles/month and lift weights fanatically. These have been troubled areas for incredible soreness and painful cramps during exercise and sleep. The lady asked how hard I wanted the massage, and I told her “as hard as you can.” We also briefly reviewed the areas I wanted worked. During the 50 minute massage, I would say that 35 minutes were spent on my back, which I didn’t circle and she could have completely avoided all together. Maybe 5-7 minutes on my legs, 3 minutes on my shoulders, and then the remaining little bit on miscellaneous. She never touched my front hips, which are by far my tightest area, next being feet and hamstrings. The only area that she really “deeply” massaged was my back. I was originally ecstatic to find a local massage place with such good reviews. I had every intention of coming back twice per month if all went well (although I found that beyond the introductory massage, prices double to $120/hr). Again, I feel bad leaving this massage, but do feel like the feedback should be valuable to any proactive manager. If I would have gone just wanting a “Swedish massage” and not circling anything, with any sort of focus, this would have been a fine experience. Based on my experience for what I was looking for today, it didn’t really meet any expectations.”
